It was great to see so many members and friends turn up at Harvey and Jacqueline’s lovely cottage in Penponds on Saturday afternoon (April 11th) to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Kehillat Kernow. There was a wonderful spread of sandwiches, cakes and pastries – thank you Jacqueline and everyone involved – and there was a raffle of two of Harvey’s paintings with the £174.00 raised going to one of his favourite charities. There were lots of interesting conversations and we even had a sing-a-long listening to a CD of Harvey – who has a beautiful voice – singing Hebrew songs (Yerushalayim Shel Zahav/Jerusalem the Golden and Shalom Aleichem). A really delightful afternoon and a great sense of community.
