King Charles and Queen Camilla visited Cornwall on Wednesday 25th April. They came to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the world-famous Eden Project outside St. Austell.

Later in the day they met with representatives of the many Cornish organisations and communities including the Cornwall Faith Forum. Kehillat Kernow is a member of the Forum and Adam Feldman was our representive to meet the King and Queen.

For anyone who has experienced a royal visit, you’re lucky if you get more than a few seconds of conversation with the monarch before they move on. In Adam’s case, there was a long conversation about the plans – which he is leading – to create a shared building for peace and faith in the grounds of Penmount north of Truro. King Charles was particularly struck by Adam’s Cornish tartan kippah and Adam is now planning send a Cornish kippah to the King.

“A kippah for breakfast, your Majesty?”.
